Andorinha by Jorge Zalszupin
Designed by Jorge Zalszupin in the 1950s, the Andorinha coffee table draws influence from the elegant form of a swallow and the Japanese art of origami. The table features sides reminiscent of wings pointed downward in flight. In this model, Zalszupin transforms this inspiration into a multifunctional piece by skillfully cutting out an opening and adding a dual hanger for newspapers or magazines.
This piece was produced by L’Atelier Brasil in the 1970s. The hanger was recently reupholstered with green suede leather.
